WARNING Advantage Gripware uses only the best fabrics available in the manufacture of its products. Where possible, we us fabrics that are IFR (inherently flame retardant), Self Extinguishing, or have been treated with a chemical process to make them FR (flame retardant.) Some materials, due to industry artistic demands are not treated and require extra caution. Please check the Fabric Specifications page on this site for information on each fabric. It is important to understand that chemicals used to Flame Retard fabrics lose those properties when exposed to damp or wet conditions! Since there is no visible way to determine the extent of Flame Retardation of any fabric, we strongly urge that extreme caution be taken with all fabrics in the potentially dangerous environment of a motion picture, television or still photographic set! Many Self Extinguishing fabrics will melt when subjected to a flame. This liquid remains hot enough to cause extremely serious burns, long after the flame is extinguished!
